Havsa-Uzunkopru-Pasayigit- Kesan 2X2 State Highway project is built on the route that enable access through Thrace to holiday resorts on the Aegean and Mediterranean regions. This 85 km project lies on a unique route between the Hamzabeyli Border Post in Bulgaria and the Ipsala Border Post in Greece, in the Edirne province, the gateway between Turkey and Europe. More generally, the project begins in the Havsa district of the Edirne province, crosses the 1,600 meter long bridge over the Meric River, ending in the Keşan district. The project includes 85 km. road construction; 137,672 m3 of land work; 100,000 metric tons of plant-mix sub-foundation; 130,000 metric tons of plant-mix foundation; 3,600 meters of underground drainage pipes; and 15 hydraulic engineering works.
